Redevelopment update from the club board: June 6

6 June 2018

Developments continue both on and off the pitch at St James Park, with Exeter City FC’s new stand making good progress.

The £3.5 million project, which is now in week 55, will see the replacement of the old Stagecoach stand and a new away end at the stadium.

And progress continues to be good, with the pre-cast concrete terrace units in place, the completion of the stand’s steel frame and only some of the roof and cladding rails to be fixed.

A spokesman for the club said: "We are pleased with the progress of the development and remain on schedule for completion by late summer-early autumn.

"As soon as the home season finished on May 17 the hoarding was removed and the temporary floodlight pylon taken down. The control room and first aid cabin were disconnected and made ready for repositioning. The Big Bank temporary toilets were removed and the existing turnstiles have been sent to the fabricators for repairs ready for installation in the Triangle."

Work is continuing to the Well Street boundary wall and in the next period the floor to the Undercroft will be constructed and all the cladding rails will be completed. The roof installation is planned for the end of June/beginning of July. Works will also continue to the disabled ramp at the front of the stand.
