Rotherham move for former captain
Former Exeter City captain David Noble today signed a two year deal with Rotherham United.The 30-year-old, who left the Grecians after his contract expired, links up with Steve Evans, his manager at Boston, and former City team-mate Dan Nardiello.
It means City fans could well see the midfielder in action next season, Rotherham come to SJP on November 24th and the return match takes place on March 23rd.
City signed the former Bristol City midfielder in January 2010 after he'd undergone his rehab from a serious knee injury with the club's medical staff.
By August 2010 he was captaining the Grecians in League One, making his debut in the 2-2 draw with Colchester.
He continued to improve as the season went on and after Christmas he really shone, putting in memorable displays against Oldham away at Plymouth Argyle at home in particular.
The captain rarely missed a game in his second season with Exeter with the expection of a ban he served for a controversial red card picked up in the 2-0 defeat at Brentford.
Noble only scored three goals for the club and they all came in the last seven months, the first coming at Bramall Lane in the memorable 4-4 draw.
He left the club having made 88 appearances.
